Just popping in to share some exciting news-- I opened an Etsy shop! It all started with a trip to the library a couple of years ago. My daughter Megan came across some American Girl stories about a girl named Felicity, which we borrowed. She instantly fell in love with the stories of this Revolutionary-Era redhead and her horse.
Once we finished reading those we borrowed more. Next came stories of other brave and spunky girls including Kaya, Molly, Kit and Samantha. Megan couldn't get enough! She developed a love for these historical girls and their stories of bravery, spirit and tenacity. When her next birthday rolled around, her (awesome!) Grandma gave her her very first doll, Kaya.

Being the arts and crafts lovers that we are, Megan and I started making all kinds of little things for Kaya and her "friends" that gradually entered our home. Once we started creating we just couldn't stop! We found ourselves making regular runs to the store for Sculpey, cardstock and all sorts of other supplies!

It was around this time that I remembered just how much I always adored making accessories and decorations for my dollhouse growing up. There wasn't a day that went by that I didn't dream of all the adventures my dollhouse people would have...it was my absolute favorite pastime! Once my sister and I even made a Haunted House and Amusement Park for our dolls. :) Reconnecting with this old passion of mine through American Girl dolls has been so much fun! It's been so much fun, in fact, that I decided to open up an
Etsy Shop to share some of the things I make with other little girls out there!
